OnePlus 8 Series Full Resolution Mod

This is a module that enables full resolution (48MP) on the OnePlus 8T and 8 Pro so that 3rd party camera apps like GCam can take 48MP photos. Created by Roman_Estonia.

Magisk module:

• For the 8 Pro: OnePlus_8_Pro_IMX689_48MP_DNG_v0.1_for_OOS_13.zip
• For the 8T: OnePlus_8t_OOS13_Full_Resolution_DNG_v0.1.zip
• For the 8: (may or may not be available later on)

Requirements:

• Original Magisk
• OxygenOS 13
• Works on some custom ROMs (not tested)

Instructions:

• Download and install module via Magisk Manager
• Reboot the device

To reverse the changes:

• Disable module and reboot (or restart camera service)

Downsides and potential issues:

• While enabled, the extra cameras (wide, zoom) may not work depending on the app/ROM you’re using.
• This module disables 4000×3000 and only leaves 8000×6000 enabled. This can create some issues with apps that expect lower resolutions.
• The frame rate of the viewfinder may be a bit lower on the 8/8T and processing might take longer (eg: on GCam) on all phones due the the higher resolution.
